Nikki’s contributions to Avaia often go unnoticed as she is very quiet , private and a silent achiever . Nikki is instrumental in the overall success of Avaia . She wears many , many hats and excels in each and everyone of them. ?????? Stephanie Taylor Steph is loved by all and is an amazing Esthetician . She works hard and her success in this industry is evident. She is our Salon Manager and strives to create a balanced , efficient and professional atmosphere. Steph is a pleasure to be around and ensures clients are always satisfied. ?????? Alexandra Harrington-Black Alex came to us as a high school Co op student and has blossomed as a stylist, lash technician and make up artist . Alex is a natural in this industry and is talented in many areas . Her passion is bridal and she excels at making our brides look and feel beautiful on their special day. ?????? Taylor Bush Taylor is the Avaia glue. She keeps the salon running smoothly and ensures all staff needs are attended to. Her big smile and thoughtful nature make staff feel valued and supported . When Taylor is off for even one day her efforts are greatly noticed Things just do not run the same without Taylor. ?????? Bethany Cleaveley Bethany’s precise detail to her work makes her an outstanding stylist. She demands nothing but perfection from herself and delivers quality results to every client. Bethany has shown great mentorship to our junior staff and has developed amazing leadership qualities . Her easy going personality makes her approachable and a pleasure to be around. ?????? Taylor Stanley Tay has continuously made us proud. We have watched her grow into an amazing stylist and young woman . Her passion for this industry is inspiring . She is eager to learn and has a hunger to succeed. Her creative flare and decorating abilities gives Avaia a more welcoming , fun feel. ?????? Kris Lowery Kris has not been with Avaia long but has fit in like she’s been one of the girls from the beginning . Her kind and gentle aura leave you feeling calm and at ease. Her experience. in esthetics is evident. Clients feel at home with her and rave about her skills. ?????? Mallarie Hayes Mal is brand new to this industry and Avaia but is another natural. Her passion for beauty is obvious. We are happy to have her and look forward to watching her develop her skills. ?????? Vanessa Adosinda Johnson Vanessa began with us as a co op student . Her work ethic and independent nature won us over immediately. We are pleased she has joined our family. We are eager to support her as she pursues education in the Esthetics field. ?????? Lori-Lynne Switzer-Colyer Lori’s professional manor and family orientation is a winning combination . Her hands are like magic and leave you feeling refreshed. She is our staff mother and baby whisperer . Lori is a very respected part of our team , always taking care of our younger staff. Showing kindness and support comes natural to this amazing lady. ?????? Sara Snache (Lang) We need more of this girl. One day a week is just not enough. Sara has shed insight on creating a more professional , clinic feel. Her expertise and love of massage makes Sara a incredible addition to our Avaia Family. ?????? Jil Koller Jil is an amazing woman all around . Watching her with kids is humbling . She has a pure heart and kind soul. We are very privileged to have joined forces with such an exceptional lady. ?????? Nicole McIsaac Nicole is very new to this industry but has a natural love for children . She is part of our Princess Party Team and has devoted herself to ensure every little princess leaves feeling like royalty . ?????? Teddi Reed Teddi’s sweet disposition gives our princess parties such a warm, caring atmosphere. Teddi’s young spirit and fun personality are always a hit. Our little princesses are drawn to her natural childlike charm. ?????? Sarah de Groot Sarah is reliable , dedicated and loyal. Although a full time Esthetician at Sharp Image she is always there in a pinch if we need help. Children are naturally drawn to Sarah’s loving heart. ??????

I do not normally do this but I have been encouraged to introduce myself. My name is Mamie de Groot (Byrne). I grew up in the Orillia area. The majority of that time I have lived in Brechin . I am a mother to three awesome children , 2 wonderful son in laws . I have the cutest grandson on earth, the most amazing stepdaughter and granddaughter and the kindest most loving man a girl could ask for . I am 48 an RN and a business owner . Although I have owned Avaia for 5 years I have really just recently taken a more active role. It has been an incredible , humbling experience . I have learned so much and gained a much deeper appreciation for small business owners. I entered this industry on March 1 2014 with nothing more than a big dream, a very patient staff and a small group of people who believed in me . If it wasn't for these people my dream never would have blossomed . I began my journey to fulfill this crazy childhood dream to own my very own Salon & Spa. This was very bizarre as I had no previous experience in the industry . I have been a nurse for the past 25 years . The last 20 have been in the community as a Visiting Nurse with Bayshore Home Health.I have been very blessed to have had an amazing career and still able to pursue my childhood dream . I still nurse on a very casual basis . My nursing colleges have been very supportive throughout this journey . Accommodating time off , switching shifts and changing positions allowing me to focus on the salon. Avaia has undergone many changes in the last five years . The majority being in the last year. Many people have asked if there is a new owner. The answer is no but the truth is that it has just been in this past year I had the knowledge , courage and strength to take ownership of my salon and pursue my dream . I have made many changes as a result An overall makeover to the salon ( we're almost done lol) , increased staff (14), improved our service menu , and introduced spa and princess parties. I have taken huge measures to educate , empower and encourage my staff to follow their own dreams and focus on their passions. I have worked hard on creating a more positive , friendlier , fun atmosphere and most importantly , I have strived to give each and everyone of my clients an amazing and memorable experience . I am extremely humbled and grateful for all the support and love I have received over the last 5 years . Whether you are a regular client, a new client or a past client we have not seen in awhile. I look forward to getting to know you all and making many more friendships. I would like to make special mention to a handful of people who have been by my side from the beginning . My loving mother and sisters , my dedicated children , my supportive cousin , my amazing staff , my bayshore babes , my 2 best friends, my empowering group of business women and last but not least my wonderful, wonderful Dave??????Thank you all so very much xoxo
