Are you interested in casually volunteering alongside our experienced gardeners at the Bass Lake Market Garden during the 2018 Growing Season? Volunteers are accompanied in basic tasks, provided regular cold water breaks, and are compensated if they wish with available surplus produce, plants, seeds from week to week. Volunteer applicants will be invited to the farm for an orientation and to review and agree to a volunteer agreement prior to any hands on activities. On a LIMITED and CASE-BY-CASE basis we will exchange 1 full seasons share for 50 volunteer hours, or ~3 hours a week over 17 weeks.
For those with the time but not the money - this work share program is for you. With additional committed help, we can produce higher quality and quantities of food you get to share in addition to gaining gardening experience and mulch more! Following completion of this Application form, successful applicants will be invited for an in person interview on the farm. Finally, we will ask you to review and sign onto the Work-Share Agreement, ensuring all parties are aware of expectations and responsibilities for a fair, fun and fruitful exchange.
