We could not have had three more inspiring young women from the Orillia High Schools be represented for the 2023 Lisa Brooking Young Woman of the Year. They are truly remarkable and have already made a difference in our communities and will no doubt continue to do so in the future. Congratulations to Blythe Wieclawek, Twin Lakes Secondary School, for being the recipient of the Young Woman of the Year award. Congratulations to the two Young Women of Distinction, Esmee Rosati from Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School and Madelaine Young from Orillia Secondary School. We are so proud of you! All the best with your post secondary school adventures and stay focused on your passions.

Our OBWA 2023 Woman of the Year and Young Woman of the Year Gala Dinner & Awards Night was a huge success. The Best Western PLUS Mariposa Inn & Conference Centre went beyond our expectations with the venue and menu. We were able to show our thanks and our support, along with many community members, to 6 amazing women from our communities. Kim Kneeshaw is our 2023 Nelle Carter Woman of the Year. Our 5 Women of Distinction along with Kim are making our communities better. Congratulations to all!
